Sacred (body:mind:space), in collaboration with The Hurma Project, is excited to convene this interdisciplinary conference to critically engage with the intersections of spiritual abuse, mental health, and Islamic spirituality.

Conference aims:

  • Convene diverse voices on spiritual abuse and its impacts

  • Interrogate theological, psychological, and social dimensions of harm

  • Explore frameworks of healing grounded in Islamic ethics

  • Co-create strategies for accountability and care in Muslim communities
